White-label — your own plans on Varnir
White-label is designed, not built. Nothing on this page works today. It
will be available on Enterprise contracts as we roll it out. The mechanics
are in Sub-plans,
and the full design is in the repository at
docs/superpowers/specs/2026-09-27-sub-plans-white-label-design.md.
You have customers. They need to hold, send, receive and settle stablecoins. You don't want to build key management, run wallets on every chain they use, or pay gas out of your own margin. White-label lets you sell your own plans, under your own name, with Varnir doing the settlement and keeping the L1 keys split so no single machine stores a whole one.
Who it is for
- Exchanges that want gas-free settlement between their users and a withdrawal rail they don't have to operate.
- Fintechs adding stablecoin accounts to a product that already has customers.
- Agent platforms that give each AI agent a spending account with limits the platform sets.
- Wallet apps that want plans, invoices and payouts without building key management of their own.
If you have an Enterprise plan and your own customers, it is for you.
What you can offer your customers
Each customer gets a Varnir identity that is a sub of yours. You decide what it comes with:
- Your plan names. "Desk Basic", "Desk Pro", whatever you sell. Varnir holds the limits; the names are yours.
- Limits you set, per plan or per customer: pending invoices, open orders, Standard and Advanced wallets, how far back CSV export reaches. Where it matters, the same exit restrictions Free has, for customers you have only just met.
- Everything Varnir does, inside those limits: instant, gas-free transfers and swaps on the ledger, withdrawals to outside chains, invoices, scoped keys with spend policies, and the SDKs.
- Your branding on the emails they receive and on the pay pages for
invoices they issue: your name, your logo, one accent colour. The sending
address stays on
varnir.site. Custom domains, a themed explorer and a branded phone app are not in the first version.
Two things are fixed. It is one level: your customers cannot resell to customers of their own. And every branded page and email names Varnir as the platform collecting and processing the payments. Your name goes on the plan, not on who moves the money.
How the money flows
There are two flows: what your customers pay you, and what you pay Varnir.
Your customers pay for their plans on the ledger. You set the price per plan, in credits. Zero is allowed, for your own desks. By default:
- A customer pays from its own Varnir balance to a Varnir collections account, recorded against you.
- Once a month Varnir pays you what was collected, less your per-sub fees and anything else you owe. You get a statement: gross, each deduction, net.
- A customer that doesn't pay keeps its limits for 7 days, then drops to Free limits. Its balances are never touched.
Collected payments stay in a Varnir collections account until the monthly payout. If you would rather Varnir not collect on your behalf, your contract can switch to pass-through: customers pay you directly on the ledger, and Varnir invoices you for its fees. Collect mode is subject to legal review before it handles real money.
You pay Varnir by contract: a fee per sub, plus usage at cost plus a margin. Withdrawals your customers make are charged at what they cost, plus the margin in your contract. Each customer pays for its own actions in credits from its own balance; shared credits between you and your customers are not designed yet.
What Varnir handles, and what you handle
| Varnir | You |
|---|---|
| The L1 wallets and their keys, generated inside a confidential VM and split so no single machine stores one whole. | Your plans: names, limits, prices, and who gets one. |
| Settlement on the ledger, and withdrawals to Ethereum, Tron, BNB Smart Chain, Base, Arbitrum and Polygon (testnets today), including the gas. | Your terms with your customers. |
| Collecting plan payments and paying you out, with a statement. | Support for your customers. Varnir supports you. |
| The branded emails and pay pages, with your name on them. | Your branding, and keeping it honest: names are checked against the verified-name rules. |
| Enforcing the limits you set: invoice, order and wallet counts in Varnir's services. | Your Enterprise plan. Your customers' limits come out of your own plan's limits, so they have to be big enough. |
Why it matters
Building this yourself means a key-management stack, hot wallets on each chain, gas management, a settlement engine and a billing system, before you have sold a single plan. With white-label you sell the plan and Varnir handles the rest.
Two design choices make it safe to put your name on:
- Fixed allocations, no overcommit. The limits you hand to customers, added up, can never exceed your own plan's. Their usage is counted on their own accounts, so a busy customer can't use up another's limits, or yours.
- Varnir stays named as the platform, and says so. No contract removes that disclosure. That protects you as much as it protects your customers: you are selling a plan, not taking on payment processing yourself. Varnir describes how keys are held and makes no claim about regulatory status, for you or for itself.
How it works
- Sign an Enterprise contract. It sets your per-sub fee, the usage margin, whether Varnir collects or passes through, and switches white-label on for your account.
- Name your plans on the scanner website: limits, speeds and a price for each. Upload your logo and pick a colour.
- Offer a plan to a customer's Varnir identity, from the website or the API. They get an invite link and an email in your name, and accept with their own key.
- They use Varnir within the limits you set. You see their usage counts. You don't see their balances or transactions unless they choose to share them.
- Collect and pay out. Customers pay on the ledger; you get a monthly statement and payout.
- Change or end at any time. Raise or lower a customer's limits mid-month. Ending a customer's plan takes effect at the end of the period; a customer can leave at once. Either way their open invoices, orders and wallets stay as they are. Funds are never locked.
Management is on the scanner website, with an API for businesses running many customers from their own systems. Writes are ledger transactions your key signs; Varnir never holds a key that can change your customers' allocations. The phone app shows a customer's plan and nothing more.
Read before you rely on it
- It is planned. The contract entries, the API and the branding are designed and not built. Don't sell it to your customers yet.
- If your plan lapses, so do theirs. Customers keep their limits for 7 days, with warnings, then drop to Free limits. Their funds are untouched.
- What you can see is a rule about Varnir's wallet and API, not a cryptographic guarantee. Ledger records are readable today, so "usage counts, not balances" describes what Varnir shows, not what the ledger hides.
- Collect mode keeps your customers' payments in a Varnir collections account for up to a month. Legal reviews that before it carries real money. Pass-through is the fallback.
How to get it
White-label is sold on Enterprise contracts only, not self-serve. Write to hello@varnir.site with what you sell and roughly how many customers you expect, and we will scope it with you as it is built.
